This SHINE Cassiopeia Facility produces the aseptic Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient, and it is the largest radio isotope Lutetium-177 commercial-scale production facility in North America. Lutetium-177 is a key component for targeted radiopharmaceutical treatments for neuroendocrine tumors and late-stage prostate cancer. This single-story 18,900 square feet includes ISO 7 & ISO 8 and Grade C and D cleanroom production lines, material and personnel airlocks, a quality control lab, and decay storage. The cleanrooms include hot cells where the production of the Lutetium-177 occurs in a lead-shielded containment with robotic manipulators. These renovations and additions greatly improved the look and function to the space.
Shine Technologies developed an isotope production facility for Moly99, a common isotope used in medical imagery. Findorff self-performed the forming, pouring, and finishing of all concrete work in addition to furnishing and installing the structural steel. The work required extreme accuracy to meet the requirements of working with nuclear-grade construction, with a vast quantity of cast-in-place materials.
