Signe Skott Hall, the free-standing home for UW Madison’s School of Nursing, was designed to support a state-of-the-art nursing program with room for growth in faculty, research, and enrollment. A LEED® Silver Certified facility, Signe Skott Hall includes a 300-seat auditorium for large-group instruction, a mile-long indoor walking path, green roof, simulation suites, and clinical labs.
The Ronald McDonald House of Madison is a “home away from home” for families while their children receive medical services at area hospitals. Findorff completed a three-story addition to the Ronald McDonald House of Madison, which nearly doubled the size of the facility, adding 13 guest rooms and eight ADA-compliant rooms, maximizing comfort for families.
Findorff was selected to work on a full-scale remodel and addition to RISE Wisconsin’s existing facility. The addition includes a main entrance, reception area, lobby, and conference area while the café, open workspaces, and various collaborative spaces were remodeled.
Located near downtown Madison, Quarter Row is a four-story, award-winning building featuring 88 living units, 60 underground parking stalls, and a rooftop terrace with a sun deck, grilling station, and fire pit. Just one block from Lake Monona, Quarter Row features spacious common areas with a variety of amenities and high-end finishes.
Findorff was selected by QBE to perform significant tenant buildouts, including several occupied, commercial office spaces. Various features in each building include:

- Open ceiling concept with ACT “clouds”
- Collaborative areas
- Prefabricated walls (Atmosphere)
- Board rooms and training facilities
- Design/build MEP/FP systems
- A patio with seating for 60+ people, walking paths, fire pit, grill, and LED lighting
Findorff performed a tenant improvement and renovation of an existing warehouse to support a mixed-use interior space. The existing warehouse was transformed to include over 100,000 square feet of finished interior space made up of offices, training labs, shop space, and meeting halls over two floors.
Encompassing a full city block, the Overture Center for the Arts is a visual and performing arts facility. The Center houses seven stages, a 220-seat lecture hall, five art galleries, and the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art.
Findorff renovated the Capitol Theater into a comfortable mid-size performance venue for ensemble groups. While several technical, electrical, and design improvements were required to modernize the space, Findorff made sure to retain many of its historic details, including the famous Grand Barton Organ and original light fixtures.
Totaling nearly 480,000-square-feet, Ovation 309 is a 14-story, multi-use property featuring 248 residential units along with retail and commercial space. It includes a new home for the Madison Fire Department’s administrative operations, club space available for private parties, weddings, and community events, a dog walk area, and two rooftop terraces.
Nine Line is a residential development located in the historic Yards District, a collection of properties on a site steeped in the industrial and railroad history of Madison. Nine Line includes 80 living units and features extraordinary lake views, immediate access to Madison’s best bike and boat amenities, a well-appointed lobby lounge, library, fitness center, landscaped terrace, bike facility, and enclosed parking.
Findorff performed a full gut and remodel of the National Guardian Life six-story office building in Madison by Lake Mendota. This remodel included a new exterior façade, building system replacements, vertical circulation changes inside an existing chase, and finishes. A six-story scaffolding was used to allow MEP replacements to take place, and a full sprinkler system was added to the building for the first time since its original construction.
