Situated in the classic University Heights neighborhood of Madison, Keystone is a four-story, 64-unit apartment building with a full-masonry, old world facade. The one- and two-bedroom apartments include wood floors, plush carpeting, 10-foot-high ceilings, kitchen islands, large windows, stainless-steel appliances, modern finishes, and underground parking.

Findorff’s Special Projects Group managed a renovation of this Madison west-side facility to upgrade the lobby, locker rooms, and courtside concession areas.

Findorff renovated four different suites and a total of 5,000 square feet to create lab space for Invenra Labs. Improvements to HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems were made, along with new walls, doors, flooring, and painting. The work was performed adjacent to occupied spaces, and lab furniture was installed with the coordination of the owner.

In 2016, Findorff was approached to relocate Illumina’s manufacturing and administrative facility to the Madison area, in addition to constructing an office space. The project included a 132,000-square-foot, two-story, state-of-the art building with a cost-effective core and shell, structural-steel frame, and architectural precast exterior.

Located at the corner of State and Frances Streets in Wisconsin’s Capital City is the impressive Hub on Campus Madison. This award-winning, LEED® Certified high rise offers a creative mix of studios, one-to-five-bedroom apartments, retail businesses, and parking. Amenities include an outdoor patio and pool, sand volleyball courts, a golf simulator room, and salon studios.

The Henry Vilas Zoo in Madison, WI is one of a few non-admission, free parking, AZA accredited zoos nationwide. Findorff has had the opportunity to complete numerous projects over the years for the Zoo.

Most recently, Findorff constructed an Animal Health Center. The 5,800-square-foot center includes specialized areas for surgery, radiology, intensive care, pharmacy, laboratory, isolation, indoor and outdoor holding, as well as an area for educational programs.

Located in the U.S. Bank building in the heart of downtown Madison, Graze offers a gastropub vibe featuring more casual dining while its counterpart L’Etoile offers fine dining. The interior features simple materials, bold utilitarian forms, and saturated colors. This modern take on agricultural elements includes barn wood siding, a cast concrete bar top, as well as iron pipe door pulls and foot rails. Bright colors are inspired by the basic hues of fresh produce and vibrant paint used for farm machinery.

This LEED® Silver Certified, 29,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art building is home to Gray TV – WMTV. The media station includes two production studios for news broadcasts and other television programming, a double height newsroom for reporting staff, and other spaces for administrative and support staff.

For over 175 years, Grace Episcopal Church has been a center of ministry on Capitol Square and throughout Madison. They hired Findorff to perform an extensive renovation, including the construction of a central stairway as well as improvements to the nave and chancel, reception and waiting areas, the Cornelia Vilas Guild Hall, and the undercroft.

Findorff provided a tenant buildout for ForwardBio Labs, adding lab and office spaces to a co-working laboratory that rents costly research equipment for startup firms. The 1,300 square-foot tenant buildout was constructed in an occupied space, and the demolition and drywall were self-performed by Findorff.
