Findorff has enjoyed a strong relationship with Edgewood College for over 25 years, completing nearly 50 projects for the College that ranged from $5,000 to $12 million. Notably, Findorff completed a 44,000-square-foot addition to their residence hall that nearly doubled their housing capacity. This addition provided students with modern living spaces, additional classrooms, kitchen space, and multi-purpose community lounges.

The redeveloped Edgewater Hotel provides a unique combination of first-class accommodations and improved public access to Lake Mendota.
The project involved a dynamic, mixed-use design concept, including:
- 189 hotel rooms and suites
- A spa and wellness center
- Casual and fine-dining restaurants
- Condominiums
- Meeting and conference space
- Retail space, a café, and lakeside bar
Findorff has made numerous renovations for this Science and Technology Client, including highly regulated current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP) biopharmaceutical manufacturing suites, High Hazard Occupied Spaces, and process equipment installation. These projects often included heavy structural steel, fire suppression, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services, as well as design-build services.
Findorff and American Family Insurance have a long history of completing numerous construction projects together, including an eight-story, 158,000-square-foot, multi-tenant building developed in Madison, WI. This project is the first Findorff project to incorporate the WELL Building Standard®. Findorff has also made improvements to the client’s technology, tenant spaces, parking ramp, and East Regional Building.
Findorff was selected to remodel 35,000 square feet of existing space and construct 4,000 square feet of worship and administrative space. The project included a new worship area, conference rooms, a library, offices, and a children’s area. The entry was enhanced with a significant vestibule and decorative features.
Findorff constructed an 81,000-square-foot addition to the Chazen Museum of Art to nearly double the gallery space for the permanent collections and temporary exhibitions. The addition includes object study rooms, a 160-seat auditorium, an expanded museum shop, and storage.
The Center for Black Excellence and Culture will be a cultural space dedicated to celebrating and inspiring Dane County’s Black community. Designed to house long-term elements while maximizing flexible space for multiple uses, the Center will have the ability to adapt over time as new needs arise.
Findorff added on to Catalent’s existing building, more than doubling its commercial biomanufacturing capacity. The renovated space complies with the requirements of current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP) for biological drug substance. In addition, all Catalent’s clean rooms are ISO8/Grade D and ISO7/Grade C.
The Special Projects Group completed an interior renovation to accommodate a new tasting room to compliment Cambridge’s high-quality, premium wines from Wisconsin, California, and New York.
Findorff completed a state-of-the-art lab for BrainXell Therapeutics, featuring ISO 7 cleanrooms and ISO 8 airlocks with positive air pressurization. The suite includes production cleanrooms, lab space, and support offices, operating independently from adjacent areas. This facility is dedicated to manufacturing cells for medical therapy, adhering to BSL-1 & BSL-2 requirements. Equipment installed includes BioSafety Cabinets and gas systems with emergency switch over manifold. Copper piping extends to lab equipment in cleanrooms and the QC lab.
