UnityPoint Health Meriter Child & Adolescent Psychiatry

UnityPoint Health – Meriter expanded its child and adolescent psychiatry facility with an addition and renovation, filling the need for the children in the community by expanding the inpatient unit from 800 to 1,400 beds. The project doubled the footprint with an additional ten patient rooms, indoor and outdoor therapy spaces, a full-service kitchen, and an area for intensive day treatment programs. Renovations updated the administrative, programming, child, and adolescent wings, as well as the central nurse station. This project also involved heavy preconstruction collaboration, as well as careful work within the occupied facility.
