About 42,500 square feet were added to the existing West Campus Cogeneration Facility’s (WCCF) chilled water plant that houses new and future equipment for UW-Madison’s chilled water system. The three-story addition is capable of handling a total chilled water capacity expansion of 30,000 tons. The addition also extended the 54-foot chilled water distribution piping from the new facility to the existing distribution system. Findorff self-performed concrete and masonry, as well as steel and pre-cast erection. The project team was able to accommodate student traffic downtown on the UW-Madison campus.
