To support uninterrupted operations at Prairie Ridge Health hospital, this mission-critical project included a new central utility plant designed for resilience, redundancy, and long-term reliability. The scope included two new 750-KW diesel generators, a new 355-ton chiller and the strategic relocation of an existing chiller to maintain cooling capacity during peak demand and emergency conditions. The project also added three new 5K BTU natural gas boilers, strengthening heating system reliability and operational flexibility. Site work included a parking lot expansion and an electrical room addition to support the upgraded infrastructure. Together, these improvements replaced aging MEP systems, enhanced system redundancy, and positioned the hospital for future development and expansion.
Project highlights:
- 6,600 square feet
- N+1 redundance on MEP infrastructure
- Level 5 commissioning
