2MW Solar Field for Confidential Client

Findorff was contracted to construct a 2MW solar field to provided electrical power needs for a confidential client. The array of 7,744 solar panels covers 16 acres of farm field. Electricity collected by the panels is put directly into the electrical grid serving the client’s offices, thereby offsetting their consumption from the local utility. Findorff used Build Information Modeling (BIM) to coordinate all of the different elements under and above ground, including geothermal piping, wells, and vaults, along with strata of rock, and solar foundations.
